Mom & Me

 

Here is what we will be making:

My supplies for this tutorial are:

MY MOM & ME KIT HERE.

My summer mask at the Creative Chicks blog HERE.

I used Flower mask 2.

You can use a mask of your choice, too.

I also used 

El 31 from A Springy Mother's Day kit from 2025

on the CC Blog HERE.  

Add drop shadow of your choice as you go.

I used Vertical: 2, Horizontal -2, Opacity 40, Blur 0, Color Black (#000000)

Open your mask and minimize it.

Open a 700x700 image transparent. You can resize later.

Copy Paper 15 resize to 75% and put it on your canvas.

Add your mask, merge group. I also resized it to 105%.

I duplicated it and mirrored it.

FRAME 5  RESIZED TO 75%.

Using your selection tool, click inside the frame, expand by 10.

Copy Paper 1 resize to 75% and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert, and delete excess.

EL 3 Resize to 85%. I placed mine under the frame. 

El 45  resized to 40% and place above the frame to the left.

El 40 resized to  35 and place to the right.

El 31 from A Springy Mother's Day kit from 2025  Resized to 40%.

Put above the frame layer in the middle left side.

El 25 resized to 35%.Place on the bottom left.

El 49, the chocolates, resize it to 30% and place on bottom right.

Resize the tag if you wish and add your name and your credits if you use a different tube.

I used Brush Script MT with a 0.8 stroke for my name, and pixelette font for the credits.

NEW TUTORIAL!! Cute Spring Fever

 

It has been a while since my last tutorial. I just got the itching to do one, so here you go! 

Here is what we will be making:

My Kits: Spring Fever located HERE.

and Spring Cuties located HERE.  

My Mask #1377 is HERE.

I used an old tube from Creo. The site is down now, please find a suitable image.

Drop Shadow of choice.

Font Used:  Alice In Wonderland.

Okay, Let's Start! 

Image 800x800 transparent. You can resize later.

Copy and paste SF_7 from the Spring Fever kit onto the canvas.

Mask from image with source luminance checked, find the mask, and click okay.

Merge, merge group.

Resize this layer to 90%.

House from the Spring fever kit, resized to 70%. 

Pathway, from the same kit,  do not resize. Place the pathway in front of the house. 

Pink Tree from Spring Fever kit resized to  65%.

Arch resized to 70%.  

Hummingbird from Spring Cuties, resized to 30% and mirrored. 

Place above the flowers.

Blue_Wildflowers from Spring Cuties, resized to  40%.  

Bird_Log from Spring Cuties, resized to 30%.  

Bear on log from Spring Cuties, resized to 50%.

I placed this to the left of the arch.

Bunny_1 from Spring Cuties, resized to 30%.

Arrange your element layers the way you like them..

Resize, if you wish. I resized mine to 600x600. 

Add your text and your credits. 

Done!

Hello everyone!

I am letting you all know that I will be updating my blogs as time permits.

A lot of the tutorials on this blog have missing supplies. So, until I update, please find

suitable replacements. I will keep the ones with missing supplies online for those 

of you who do have the supplies.

We all have to remember that designers do quit, retire, and the links to their supplies expire. 

4-Shared is one of the main sites that expire files. Most of the time, this is without notice.

My Dad And Me

 

You will need my kit, Dad & Me HERE. 

 Cluster Frame by Vicky HERE.

 Scroll down, it will be the next to the last one. It is Happy Fathers Day 1 Vicky.

 Mask of choice or the one I used is LLM_1420_T, HERE.

 

Note: I used the Transparent mask.

 

ADD Drop shadow of your choice. I used, 2, -2, 50, 0.

 

Font: Havlova-Austral. It can be found at Dafont, HERE.

 

I also used EyeCandy 4000 Gradient glow. Color is white. 

Use whatever you want and looks right for you!

 

 Ready? Ok! Let's begin:

 

 

 

Shift D to duplicate the frame and close the original. 

Erase the frame info, or if you are like Me, cut it out, and paste it as a new layer. 

Move it to the bottom and hide it.

 

New layer below the frame, I flood filled this layer with the color #c6e7fa (a light blue).

 

And new mask from layer, add your mask. I resized mine 90%.

 

 

 All Below should be BELOW the Frame layer:

 

Click inside the frame, selections, modify, expand by 35%. Add a new layer, and copy and paste Paper 11 into selections. Move this layer below the frame layer.

 

Copy and paste Father_And_Son_Fishing as a new layer and resize to 30% and place the image towards the bottom.

 

Copy and paste the fish as a new layer and resize to 10%. Properties to Overlay. I duplicated mine a few times and colorized them. I also mirrored a couple.

 

Copy and paste the Grill, resize to 15%, and place between 

the Father and Son and the Tree.

 

ABOVE THE FRAME LAYER:

 

Copy and paste the hooks as new layers and resize to 15%. 

Rotate the Hook layer to 90 to the right.

 

Copy and paste the Pocket Watch, resized 15% rotate 45 to right.

 

If you haven’t already, add your drop shadow if you wish. Add any other elements, word-art, etc. Resize if you want as well.

 

AFTER you resize, if you resize, add your copyright info, etc. Add your names, save as a PNG image.

I Love Mom

  

 Here is what we will be making today:

Supplies need are as follows:

My Mother’s Day Kit I love Mom HERE.

My Sparkle LLM_1415 mask Here:  SPARKLY MASKS 

Add your drop shadow as you go along.

I used 2, -2. 0, Black. 

I used Silent Reaction font, White background with Blue 1.0 Stroke.

 

Ready? Let’s Start!

Open Frame 2, Shift D to Duplicate it. Close the original.

Copy and paste Paper two as a new layer.

Move this layer below the frame layer. Add LLM Mask 1415 from image, and merge group.

Duplicate and mirror.

Close off the frame layer, add a new layer and move it below the frame layer.

Open pp 9, click inside the frame with magic wand, select all modify, expand to at least 15.

I expanded to 25. Copy and paste Paper 9 into selections on the new layer. Select none.

Add the sparkles, resize to 80%. Move to the right side. Move this layer below the frame layer. Duplicate this layer and mirror. Add your tube or you can use the Mom and baby image in my kit as I did. I did not resize this image.

Go to the top layer and add your elements. This is where you use your imagination.

I do allow you to mix elements from my kits on your tags, too!

I used Cute_Lil_Bear, Resized to 50% and moved it to the left side of the tag.

Envelope, resized 50% and move it to the right side of the tag.

Bell Flower Resized 50% placed on left.

Bell Flower_1 Resized 50%. Placed on Right

BELL FLOWERS Resized 50% and rotated right 90%, place on bottom of frame, covering the two flowers in the middle. See my tag for placement.

I re-sized my tag to 80% BEFORE adding any copyright information and and saved it as a png.
