New Tutorial! --- Tranquil







My Kit Potpourri HERE.

Tube of Choice. I chose a tube by Lia.

Font of choice. I used Playball font. 
Mask 569 by me HERE.


Ok...Yas ready? Let's begin!


Open a new image-size of choice. I made mine 630x630.

Using my Pot Pourri Paper 15 and Mask 569, copy and paste the paper on the bottom 
layer. Now add my mask or a mask of choice to the paper. Merge,
Merge group. I also used the Manual Color Correction tool 
and changed the colors from #5187ca  to  #00c0c0.
Resize to 85% and move to one side. Duplicate and mirror.

The elements I used are as follows:

From my kit:

Sun resized to 50%.
My Grass resized to 50%.  Recolor if you want.  Resize
to 85% and move to one side. Duplicate and mirror
or position to the way you like it.
Tree from my Potpourri kit resized 75%.
Tube of choice. Resize to desired size to fit adequately on your tag.

From the elements by Nellie:
Autumn resized to 12%.
Branch resized to 15%.  Duplicate and mirror. Rotate  45 to left and resized to 60%.
Duplicate this one and mirror as well.
Basket resized to 15%.
Plum resized to 13%.
Apples resized to 12%.

Here is where I used the Playball font to add my own wordart and names.
So, be creative and add whatever you want!

I never merge my layers. I advise you to do the same.
This way you can always save it and change whatever you want 
in the future.

sure you add the copyright for the image you used.

I saved mine as a PNG image.

Ghostly Cute Spooks

Open an image- size of choice. 
Open Paper of choice- I chose paper 7. 
Add a new layer. Copy and paste it into selection- Deselect.
Add you mask. Layers, merge, Merge group.
Copy and paste your elements of choice.


 Grass Patch resized to 85%-I duplicated mine a few times 
and arranged them to the way I liked them. 
Moon 35%.
Ghosts from "Ghostly Pumpkins" Duplicate a time or
two to darken the background.
Tree  25%.
Bat1 Resized to 25%.
Bat Resized to 30%.
Tombstone 2 Resized to 25%.
Owl Resized to 25%.
Tombstone 1-30%.
Cat On Pumpkin -- 55%
Pumpkin 1 Resized to 45%
I merged some Leaves together and  resized them to 25%.   
    Duplicate and spread around
grass area, above and below the tube layer.

Ghost- (The one I used was in my brushes.  I am not sure where I got it from, so
I am unable to share it. Please use a substitute brush or tube. )


Resize and arrange the elements to the way you like them.
Crop and/or resize your tag to your liking.

Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want.

MIA---Why?




Yea I know...MIA Again!  I just haven't felt like 

writing tutorials. I am now making kits,  working more, 

and very busy in The Creative Chicks.

All I can say is that the tutorials are not coming

too often anymore. I will try, but no promises.

I am in the process of writing a Halloween one, but it may

tomorrow before I get it posted.

Summer Living









I used the awesome work of Popeye Wong. The 
tube is called Sandy Joy.  You can find his awesome work
HERE and his tubes HERE.
My kit, Summer Things, HERE on the Creative Chicks blog.

Two of my masks LLM 616 and LLM 584 on my blog HERE.
Mura Meister Copies or a Sand Tube.
For the name layer, I used Unthrift Second Personal font.

Are yas ready! Ok! Let's begin!

Open an image-use size of choice,....I chose 700x700.
Select all, add  a new layer, copy and paste paper 13 into selection.
Add  My mask 616 or a mask of choice.
Layers, Merge, Merge group. Resize to 50%. Move to one side.  Duplicate and mirror.
Arrange these to layers to fit most of your canvas. 

Select all, add  a new layer, copy and paste paper 9 into selection.
Add  My mask 584 or a mask of choice.

Layers, Merge, Merge group. Resize to 50%. Move to one side.  Duplicate and mirror.
Arrange these to layers to fit most of your canvas. 
Now click on your top mask layer.  Copy and paste my sand as a new layer and 
resize it to fit around the size of the two beach scene layers. 
For the sand layer beneath my tube's feet:
Click on the layer under the beach scene layer. Grab your freehand tool and
draw like a circle. Add a new layer and use the same Murameisther cloud settings.  
I also added noise --setting at 20. Deselect.

Now we add our elements. I used:

Sun Resized to 50%.
Speedboat resized to 50%.
Dolphin  Resized 45%.
Beach Scene. Move to one side.  Duplicate and mirror.
Now click on your top mask layer. 
This next step is optional, and if you do do it, it can be done different
ways.  You can either find a suitable sand element of choice and leave it as is.
 Or you can do it the way I did:
Copy and paste my sand element as a new layer .
Select all float defloat, Mura meister copies, sand with the settings below. 
Alwalys remember, if you want, you can play 
around with the settings to get the look you want.
I only did the above step with my sand element because I wanted to have more 
sand of a similar color. 

Pail resized to 20%. Add a few sea shells and the starfish.  Resize them all about 15% to 20%. 
I Resized Sea Shell 1 to 12%.
Beach Ball Resized to 20%.
Add your tube of choice, if you wish, anywhere you see fit.


Resize and arrange the elements to the way you like them.
Crop and/or resize your tag to your liking.

Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want.

The Cat Fisherman




        Tube, Kitten and Goldfish, by Laguna HERE.

Mask of Choice or use the ones I used. Masks LLM-601 and
LLM-604  by me HERE.


Other images I used are from Pixabay.


The Dolphin I used is a script from Deb's Designs Here.  

Flaming Pear Flood. It is a paid plug-in. 


I also used the backgrounds from my tube. So, if you do not have the tube, you will
need a color or papers of choice in mind.


Got what you need? OK! Let's Begin!

Open an image with a transparent background 630x630. You can always resize
to your preference later.


Bottom layer....Add a new layer, select all, copy and paste a paper or color of choice
into selection. I used the Sea Background from the tube.  Deselect. Add your first mask of choice. I used my LLM-601 mask.  Merge group. Now add another layer, 
select all, float, defloat, copy and paste your second paper into selections, or 
floodfill the layer with a color of choice.

Now, add your second mask....or mine -- LLM-604.  Merge, Merge Group.
Duplicate the second group 2 times. On the top layer I used Flaming Pear Flood with the
following settings:






Now add your elements...
I  used a Palm tree, fishing pole, Shells, Seagulls, and a turtle.
I  duplicated the turtle several times.


Resize and arrange the elements to the way you like them.
Crop and/or resize your tag to your liking.

Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want.

A Berry Good Summer






What you will need is a tube of choice.
I chose a lovely tube by the amazing Zlata_M.
This tube came from Pics For Design in a Superset.

Cluster by KS Designs HERE.


A mask of choice or my Mosaic Mask HERE.
It is the first one in the post.
You will also need a paper or background of choice.

**Remember to sharpen each layer that you resize
and add a drop shadow of choice  all layers of choice. **



Maximize your cluster and Shift D to duplicate.  Close the original.
Click the inside of the cluster, Selections, modify selections, expand by 3. Add a
new layer and copy and paste paper of choice into selections. You can also
fill this layer with a color or gradient complimenting your tube. Move this layer
under your cluster layer. Deselect.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, between
the cluster background layer and the cluster.

Resize as desired, and erase any part of the tube showing beyond the cluster layer.

Now go to bottom layer and add a new layer. Send this layer to bottom.
Copy and paste a paper of choice as a new layer. Find your mask and add it from image
or  from disc. Merge group.


Add your watermark if you wish, and make
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want.
I am unsure of the font I used. I will add it when I find out.

My Summer Vacation





Yes, at long last, another tutorial! 





Supplies used are:

Tube of Choice, I chose Creo aka Creddy Bears.
Creo's site is down, so unless you have some of his tubes,
please choose another tube of choice.

Use  the Scrapkit from HERE called Summer Vacations by Jaelop Designs.


 This Circles1 Template by KS Designz HERE.


Mask 3 from Rachel Designs from this post HERE.


Shift D to duplicate your template. Close the original.
Resize the canvas to 650x650. You can resize later, if you wish.
I start from the bottom.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer. Add your mask.
Merge Group. I used the texture effects-this is optional.
If you do decide to use the effect, use the default or play around with the settings.

Circle 1 layer-- Select all, float, defloat, add a new layer, copy and paste Paper 2 as a
new layer. Selections invert, delete.

For Circle 2 layer, follow the steps above, using Paper 3.
For Circle layer 3, I used paper 16 and colorized it to blue.

Elements I used are as follows:

Pool resize to 12%.
Elements 61 & 62 (clouds) Resize them to around 65%.
Towels Resized to 16%.
Tube- Resize to fit your tag.
Element 7 (Beach Ball) Resized to 15%.
Element24 - Resize to 20%.
Pink Sunglasses resized to 15%.
Element 4 Resize to 15%.

Arrange the elements to the way you like them.
Crop and/or resize your tag to your liking.

Add your watermark if you wish, and make
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want.
I am unsure of the font I used. I will add it when I find out.

Spring Is...








This is a simple tutorial for any type of tagger. 

For the tag above, I used the following supplies:

Tube by Lia at www.liamida.com

My Kit Spring Is  HERE.

A mask of choice or My mask # 569 HERE.
**Remember to sharpen each layer that you resize 
and add a drop shadow all layers of choice. **

Open a blank image, 600x600 or a size you prefer.
New Layer.  Select all. Copy and paste  Paper 19 into selection.
Add your mask from image or from Disc.

Elements and sizes I used are:


Tree 3 -- resized 65%  two times.
BellFlower --  25%.
Flowers White resized to 15%.
Flowers White 1 resized to 15%.
Flowers resized to 15%. Duplicate, Image-mirror.
Tree 4 resized to 45%.
Lia tube resized to 70%.
Spring Wordart 2 resized 75%.
Butterfly resized to 20%.
Flower Pink 20%. Duplicate-Mirror.

Now arrange all elements to the 
way you like and want them.

Not So Shabby






For the above tag, I used the following supplies
Very Many tube found Here  www.verymanytubes.com
Mask by me HERE-- LLM 462 or a mask of choice.
Cloud brush -- You can use any brush or tube of choice.
"Mini Kit" made by Yolana Designs
Romantic Shabby Chick HERE.
Mura Meister Copies.

This is a very easy and quick tutorial.

Open a blank image -- size to your preference. I usually use 600x600 - 650x650.
Open Paper 12 --LLM 462 resized 103.
Element 1 resize to 25%. Mura Meister copies, set on encircle default.

Clock 25%-set in middle of canvas.

Use a cloud tube or brush of your choice and cover the bottom of the clock.
Add your tube.
I also added a couple of the flowers near the base  of the clock on each side.
Add any other elements you want and drop shadow layers of choice. 
I hardly ever dropshadow my mask layer.


Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want.

It's All About Love








I used a couple of Tubes by Creo -- Creo's site is 

down, please use a suitable substitute tube. 

My Mask # 500 HERE. It is the last one in the post.


My Kit Adore HERE.

I also used Paper 4 from my Little Love Kit HERE.


Open a Transparent image- Size of your choice, I used 630x630.

Open a Paper of choice, I chose the Paper 4 from the Little Love Kit.
Copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. 
Add your mask from image or from disc. 
Merge group. I duplicated and mirrored mine.

Now add your elements of choice.
I chose the following elements:

Tree --- I did not resize the tree.
Cupid Creddy tube resized to 85%. I put mine just above the 
tree layer.
Rose 1 resized 75% - duplicate and mirror.
Mailbox resize to 85%.
Love birds resized to 50%. I placed them on the layer below the
mailbox, making them look like they are sitting on it.
Candle resize to  40%.
Cupcake 1 resize to 30%.
Butterfly resized to 25%.
Strawberry resize to 25%, duplicate, mirror.
2nd Creo tube-- Did not resize.
Bunny resize to 40% and I mirrored it. I put the bunny
behind the Creo couple tube to the right.
Penguin resized to 40%  then 50%. I put the penguin behind the
couple tube to the left. 

Sparkles - Duplicate flip and mirror.


Position your elements the way you want.
Crop and resize your image to your preference.

Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want. 
For my name, I duplicated the layer and on the 
bottom layer added a white Fat Gradient glow.
I also added a drop shadow of 1, -1, 5, 0. 
I saved mine as a PNG image.

Love Fairy





For the above tag, I used the following supplies:

Template 823 by Millie  HERE.

Font is Alice in Wonderland Font from Dafont.


Read? Ok! Let's Start!


Shift D to Duplicate your template.  Delete or hide raster layer 10 (credits layer).
 Go to Image, Canvas Size and resize your canvas to 700x700
or size of preference.  

I start from the bottom.

Click on your background layer and unhide it.
Fill with white.
Select all, add a new layer. Copy and paste a paper of 
choice into selection. I chose paper  1.
Add your mask or the mask I used- LLM-395. 
Layers-Merge- Merge Group. You may need to
use your raster deform tool to close the mask around the template layers. 
I first resized mine by 95% and then used my raster deform tool to surround the mask layer closer to the template layers.  
Raster 1 --click on the oval with your magic wand. Add a new layer and copy
and paste a paper of choice into selection. I chose paper 7.

Raster 2 - Repeat the above step using different paper. I chose paper 5. Do not deselect just
yet!  I added another layer and copy and pasted paper 2 into selections. I then set the layer
properties at overlay. Now deselect! LOL

For raster 3, I duplicated a couple of times to make it bolder.
Rasters 4, 5. 6, and 7 -- Repeat the step used for Rasters 1 and 2 using a paper of choice.
I chose paper 4.
For layer 8, I duplicated it, and on the bottom layer I used a thick gradient glow. I also added noise.
If you do not have the Eye Candy plug in, you can also use the method I used for adding the borders around the templates. That explanation is below. 
For layer 9, I left as is. 
I also added a border around the template layers. 
For each layer I expanded each layer by 3 for the larger layers, and 2 for the circle layers. 
Then I added a new layer UNDER the paper layers and filled with white and added
noise at 100. 

Elements I used are:

Element 3 Resized to 40%.
Element 4 Resized to 50%.
Element 7 Resized to 50%.
Element 19 Resized to 75%. Duplicate, Image mirror, and flip. 
Element 20 Resized to 50%. Duplicate, Image mirror.
E  22 Resized to 50%. Duplicate, Image mirror.
E 28. I did not resize.
I also found a grass element from another kit of Melissa's and 
colorized it to suit my tag. 


Add any elements you wish-- Make this tag yours!

Add drop shadow of your choice. I use 1, -1, 50, 0  Black. Shadow on new layer NOT checked.



Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want. 
For my name, I duplicated the layer and on the 
bottom layer added a yellow Fat Gradient glow.
I also added a drop shadow of 1, -1, 5, 0. 
I saved mine as a PNG image.

Snuggles

Also the Fireplace elements from Wicked Princess' Kit called Smokin' -  HERE.

Ready? OK! Let's Start! 

Open the template, Shift D to duplicate. Close the Original.

Increase your Canvas Size to  850x850.
Bottom layer. Select all, Add a new layer. Copy 
and paste a paper of choice  from the paper pack. 

I Used the Paper 15 . I blurred mine by using the Gaussian blur on 15. 
Now,  Add your mask. Merge group.
Add your papers as you want.

Mine were added as follows:
Top  & Bottom orange rectangles  Paper 15 from Dream 4 Ever's Paper Pack. 
Top & Bottom Beige Outlines- colorized to white and added noise.
Beige Rectangle -- Paper 12.
Grey circle -- Paper 8.
Top & Bottom Orange Circles- Paper 4.
Pink square --Melissas Christmas Surprise Paper 09.
Beige circle -- paper 5.  Optional: Duplicate, Image flip, Image, mirror. 

I gave each paper layer a white gradient glow or use 
the alternate way HERE and added noise.
I left the snowflakes alone. Although you can 
colorize them, if  you want.

After all the papers were added, I resized my tag by 75%, all layers checked.
Add your elements and tube. 
I added the fireplace and the fireplace supplies 
from Wicked Princess' Smokin Kit.
I added my Creo Tube -resized to 80%.
For the wordart layers, I merged the "Snuggle Season" layers 
and gave them a drop shadow of 1,-1, 50, 0. 
I moved the "Is here" layer down, duplicated it, and gave it a soft red gradient glow.
I also gave this layer the same drop shadow.
Add your image and resize as needed. 
Position your elements the way you want and where you want.
Crop and resize your image to your preference.
Check your tag to make sure everything is the way you want it. 
Add your watermark if you wish, and make 
sure you add the copyright for the image you used.
Add your name or name(s) of whoever you want. 
For my name, I duplicated the layer and on the 
bottom layer added a  Fat Gradient glow.
I also added a drop shadow of 1, -1, 5, 0. 
I saved mine as a PNG image.
